Soccer Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Willows Academy

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Willows Academy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They skirted past the Latin Romans 2-1. This was a revenge game for Willows Academy: when they faced off against Latin back in April, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Willows Academy, bringing their record up to 17-3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those four contests. As for Latin, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-6.

Looking ahead, Willows Academy will challenge Johnsburg at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Johnsburg will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last. Latin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
