Basketball Recap: Loomis Takes a Loss

After flying high against Maxwell last Friday, Loomis came back down to earth. The Loomis Wolves fell just short of the Bertrand Vikings by a score of 65-62 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wolves have suffered since January 10th.

Bertrand was led to victory by Thunder Nelson and Marcus Hernandez. Nelson dropped a double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds, while Hernandez posted 23 points and five boards. The game was Hernandez's 11th in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Hatfield, who put up nine points.

Loomis' defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Bertrand, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Loomis nor Bertrand have any future games scheduled.
