Basketball Recap: Overlake Comes Up Short

Overlake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 38-27 to the Vashon Island Pirates. The Owls were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2019.

Overlake's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Vashon Island, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9.

Overlake has already played their next match (against Bear Creek), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Vashon Island will head out on the road to square off against Chimacum at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Chimacum will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Vashon Island surely won't give up without a fight.
