After a string of five wins, Iowa Colony's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the La Porte Bulldogs by a score of 32-30. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-34 back in January.

Despite the defeat, Iowa Colony saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kenadie Francis posted nine points. Another player making a difference was Payton Watson, who put up four points and five steals.

Iowa Colony's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-12. As for La Porte, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 26-10 record this season.

Iowa Colony will face off against Friendswood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Friendswood will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Iowa Colony surely won't give up without a fight. La Porte does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
