Recap: Cross Keys Indians vs. Clarkston Angoras

The Cross Keys Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 57-29 defeat at the hands of Clarkston. Cross Keys has struggled against Clarkston recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Clarkston found their leader in underclassman Jessica Mays, who scored 24 points along with three steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Mays has scored at least a third of Clarkston's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Annualite Tumusifu, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Cross Keys has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season. As for Clarkston, their win ended a eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-18.

Cross Keys will take on Atlanta Girls' School at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Atlanta Girls' School focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Tuesday. As for Clarkston, they will head out on the road to face off against Stone Mountain at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Clarkston is coming into the contest with 11 straight victories on the road, so Stone Mountain is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
