The defense contributed on the scoring end for
Arkadelphia (Ark.) on Saturday, totaling 12 points as the Badgers defeated
Arkansas Baptist (Little Rock, Ark.) 48-19.
The Badgers were up 48-7 at the half after taking the lead on a kick return in the first quarter.
Arkadelphia put up 34 points in the second quarter en route to the win. AHS scored on a touchdown run, a rushing touchdown, a defensive touchdown, a defensive touchdown and a passing touchdown in the quarter.

Riley Perkins played well. The sophomore quarterback threw two touchdowns.
Arkadelphia (5-0) will play a 4A Region 7 game against Central Arkansas Christian next week, while Arkansas Baptist (1-3) will take on Nashville also in a 4A Region 7 game.
