Baseball Game Preview: Freedom Prep Academy Eagles vs. Sheffield Knights

The Freedom Prep Academy Eagles will head out to face off against the Sheffield Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Fairley hit Freedom Prep Academy with a four-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 6-5.

Meanwhile, Sheffield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against Overton, falling 13-5.

Kamauri Whitley was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with six stolen bases and two runs.

Freedom Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Sheffield, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11-1.

Freedom Prep Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Sheffield in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
