Recap: Bristow Pirates vs. Colcord Hornets
The Bristow Pirates stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They blew past Colcord, posting a 83-40 victory on the road. Winning may never get old, but Bristow sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Bristow's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addi Alexander led the charge by scoring 17 points along with seven steals and five assists. Alexander is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shalyn Edmondson, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Bristow's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Colcord, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.
Bristow won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Adair at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. As for Colcord, they will head out on the road to take on Fairland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairland is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
