Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lejeune). Their defense stepped up to hand the Jones Trojans a 12-0 shutout on Friday. Considering Lejeune have won nine matches by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Jones from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Scarlett McLean led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for five goals all by herself.

The win keeps Lejeune at an undefeated 10-0-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those four contests. As for Jones, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lejeune will head out to face off against Southside at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Jones, they will venture away from home to challenge Living Water Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Jones will be up against Living Water Christian's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.25 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
