After having lost a blowout in their previous game against De Leon, Bangs was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Winters Blizzards as they made off with a 13-4 win. Considering the Dragons have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Jaxon Duncan was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-5. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.
In other batting news, Everett Kirchner was incredible, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Hunter Crowell was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
Bangs' victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Winters, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-5-1.
Bangs will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Blizzards: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
