Softball Game Preview: Bloom Blazing Trojan vs. Crete-Monee Warriors

For the second straight game, Bloom will face off against Crete-Monee. The Blazing Trojan will square off against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bloom has five straight victories, Crete-Monee has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Crete-Monee's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Wednesday: Bloom hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Blazing Trojan didn't even let the Warriors on the board on Monday, marking the Blazing Trojan's second-straight 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Blazing Trojan, who have now won six matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Aryana Knaack was a standout: she scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Ailani Chavez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Bloom always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Crete-Monee's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Bloom, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
