Baseball Recap: Gladewater's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Gladewater has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.35 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 13-0 to the Tatum Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 last Tuesday.

Gladewater's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7. As for Tatum, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Gladewater will challenge rival White Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Gladewater 3.4, White Oak 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Tatum is set to take on their familiar foe West Rusk at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
