M.L. King lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Tri-Cities, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's game. The Lions blew past the Bulldogs 30-6 on Friday. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 21-19 loss the last time these two teams met.

M.L. King has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 22 points this season. As for Tri-Cities, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, M.L. King will venture away from home to challenge Salem at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tri-Cities, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on KIPP Atlanta Collegiate at 7:30 p.m. on September 5.
