Bishop Moore extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Jaiden Peterson. The Hornets strolled past the DeLand Bulldogs with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 59-41 for which the team can thank Peterson, who shot 62% from the field en route to 27 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Thanks to that strong game, she now owns an excellent 47.4% three-point shooting accuracy.

The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Wolsonovich, who posted 13 points and three steals. She is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games she's played.

Bishop Moore's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for DeLand, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.

Coming up, Bishop Moore will square off against Horizon at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for DeLand, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Seminole at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. The Seminoles' defense has only allowed 28.2 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
