Football Recap: Choctawhatchee Indians vs. Gulf Shores Dolphins
Choctawhatchee took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 21-14 win over the Gulf Shores Dolphins. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Indians were the better team in the second half.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Choctawhatchee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tamen Zabetkis, who rushed for 93 yards, and also threw for 48 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 93 rushing yards gave Zabetkis a new career-high.
Choctawhatchee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jordan Figueroa, Amir Reese, Jaylen Brazan, and Jabari Weeks picked up one apiece.
When it comes to explaining why Gulf Shores lost, don't look at Carter Davis. Despite the final result, he picked up 104 receiving yards and two scores. Davis got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 59 yards.
