Softball Game Preview: East Duplin Panthers vs. Richlands Wildcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought as East Duplin Panthers challenge Richlands Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. East Duplin will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

On Tuesday, everything went East Duplin's way against Kinston as East Duplin made off with a 17-1 win. Considering the Panthers have won three matches by more than 14 runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Richlands's offense. They fell just short of Midway by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

The victory got East Duplin back to even at 3-3. As for Richlands, they dropped their record down to 6-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
