Baseball Recap: Biggersville Takes a Loss

Biggersville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They came up short against the Tupelo Christian Prep Eagles, falling 17-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 last Tuesday.

Biggersville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Tupelo Christian Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Biggersville Lions challenge Jumpertown Cardinals at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Biggersville is facing Jumpertown at the right time seeing as Jumpertown is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Tupelo Christian Prep, they will welcome Strayhorn at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Strayhorn has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.9 runs per game on average), something Tupelo Christian Prep will no doubt try to take advantage of.
