Baseball Recap: Jesup Starts Season with Loss at Home

Jesup unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Columbus Sailors by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday. The J-Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sailors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Columbus' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Jesup will venture away from home to face off against South Hardin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Columbus, they will challenge East Marshall at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
