Basketball Recap: LaFayette Takes a Loss

LaFayette and Tuscaloosa Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but LaFayette had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 62-52 to the Tuscaloosa Academy Knights, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-52 last Monday.

LaFayette's loss dropped their record down to 19-12. As for Tuscaloosa Academy, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-1.

LaFayette does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tuscaloosa Academy, they will square off against Section on Monday. Tuscaloosa Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 matchups -- so hopefully Section likes a good challenge.
