Basketball Recap: Colton-Pierrepont Triumphs

Tupper Lake came into Wednesday's game looking for another win against Colton-Pierrepont, but Ty Farns wouldn't allow it. The Colton-Pierrepont Colts walked away with a 43-35 win over the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks on Wednesday thanks to Farns, who went 10-for-24 on his way to 22 points and seven steals. He has become a key player for Colton-Pierrepont: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least five steals, but 7-10 otherwise.

The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Erwin, who posted ten points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

Tupper Lake's loss came despite strong showings from Colin Strack and Felix Bodeewes. Strack went 6-for-12 en route to 17 points and five rebounds, while Bodeewes earned 12 points along with seven boards and four steals. Mike Bolia also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Colton-Pierrepont's record now sits at 9-11. As for Tupper Lake, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Colton-Pierrepont will take on Hammond Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tupper Lake, they will square off against Lisbon Central at 6:00 p.m. on February 20th.
