Basketball Game Preview: The Colony Cougars vs. Lone Star Rangers

The Colony Cougars will square off against the Lone Star Rangers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, The Colony was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 40-36 to Creekview. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Lone Star fought the good fight in their overtime match against Wakeland on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 72-70. The Rangers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The Colony's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-15. As for Lone Star, their loss dropped their record down to 14-16.

The Colony didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Lone Star in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 44-40 victory.
