Baseball Recap: Milford's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Milford entered their tilt with Winton Woods on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Warriors 18-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-1 on Monday.

David Kittrell was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Jackson Mears also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Milford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive contests.

Milford pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Winton Woods, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
