Braden Atkinson Delivers Electric Effort Vs Millbrook

Starting off the list is Rolesville's Braden Atkinson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Atkinson threw for 325 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

Unfortunately for Millbrook, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Atkinson. When Atkinson last faced the Wildcats back in October of 2023, he threw for 418 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.

A Season-Best Performance from Ladainian Person Leads Heritage over Knightdale

Heritage was led to victory by LaDainian Person, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Person rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns.

With the victory, Heritage broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-6. Person will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Wake Forest on Friday.

Another Game with at Least Two Sacks from Rashad Streets

Sadly, Rashad Streets posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Millbrook over Rolesville on Friday. Streets wasn't messing around, picking up 2.5 sacks and making 15 total tackles. The contest was his fifth straight with two or more sacks.

The loss snapped Millbrook's winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 6-1 record. Streets and Millbrook will be playing at home against Wakefield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Cypher Posts Huge Game in 35-0 Defeat

Quinton Cypher continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his 19th-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least eight total tackles. He made 18 total tackles (2.0 for loss) and snagged an interception.

If the past is any indication, Cypher could be in store for another big game when he takes on Wakefield on Friday. When Cypher last faced the Wolverines back in October of 2023, he picked up a sack and made 16 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
