Basketball Recap: Pierre T.F. Riggs Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Pierre T.F. Riggs and Brandon Valley squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Pierre T.F. Riggs had to settle for second. They were dealt a 69-36 loss at the hands of the Brandon Valley Lynx. The Governors haven't had much luck with the Lynx recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

It was another big night for Gracie Salter, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards for Brandon Valley. What's more, Salter posted five steals, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyvia Padgett, who went 6-for-15 en route to 16 points in addition to six assists and four steals.

Pierre T.F. Riggs' defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Brandon Valley, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 20-2.

Pierre T.F. Riggs has already played their next game, a 48-38 loss against Mitchell on the 14th. As for Brandon Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-56 victory against Washington on the 14th.
