Preview: Arroyo Valley Hawks vs. Buena Park Coyotes

Two dominant backs in Ronald Weathers and Jaden Moore are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Arroyo Valley Hawks will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Buena Park Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Buena Park took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Arroyo Valley, who comes in off a win.

Arroyo Valley can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They blew past Fontana 52-32. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.

Arroyo Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Weathers led the charge by rushing for 336 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Weathers was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 61 yards. Another player making a difference was Tukutau Tupouata, who rushed for 111 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries.

Meanwhile, Buena Park might've scored the first points on Friday, but it was Fullerton who claimed the real prize. Buena Park was just a hair shy of victory and fell 22-21 to Fullerton.

Buena Park's loss came about despite a quality game from Moore, who rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns, and also caught a touchdown.

Arroyo Valley's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-10 O'Farrell Charter and 1-9 La Sierra (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 30% over those games). As for Buena Park, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
