After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Highland, Waterloo was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Belleville West Maroons 12-5. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their two-run performance the match before.

Waterloo is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Belleville West, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 18-11.

Coming up, Waterloo is taking a road trip to square off against Alton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last three games the Redbirds have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Belleville West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
