Baseball Recap: California Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

California extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 8-9-2 in the process. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-1 on Wednesday.

Chase Cicchitto was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Caden Monticelli, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

As for Chartiers-Houston, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since April 26, 2024.

On Chartiers-Houston's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paul Williamson, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI. Brody McCrerey also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

As of now, neither California nor Chartiers-Houston have any future games scheduled.
