Basketball Recap: Inglemoor Comes Up Short

Inglemoor suffered their biggest loss since December 14, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against the Shorecrest Scots, falling 71-51. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 186th, while the Scots are ranked 23rd).

When it comes to explaining why Inglemoor lost, don't look at Aman Sterling. Despite the final result, he posted 19 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Rowan Delaney, who had eight points and six boards.

Even though they lost, Inglemoor smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.

Inglemoor has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Shorecrest, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-2.

Inglemoor will be playing at home against Newport - Bellevue at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Shorecrest, they will challenge Shorewood at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
