Basketball Game Preview: Midland Eagles vs. Lisbon Lions

Midland hasn't had much luck against Lisbon recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Midland Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Lisbon Lions at 8:00 p.m.

Midland is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 23rd straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They took a blow against West Liberty, falling 77-28.

Meanwhile, Lisbon entered their tilt with North Cedar on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Knights, posting an 83-32 victory. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season.

Lisbon is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for Midland, their loss dropped their record down to 0-16.

Midland took a serious blow against Lisbon in their previous matchup back in January, falling 66-15. Can Midland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
