Volleyball Recap: Northridge Starts off Right with Win over Licking Valley

Northridge took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They blew past the Licking Valley Panthers 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Northridge won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-18, 25-21.

McKenna Ellis paced Northridge's offense, picking up ten kills. Ellis got some help from Jasmine Easterday and her 17 assists. Abagail Sharpe controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Northridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Utica on the 21st. As for Licking Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Mt. Vernon on the 21st.
