Baseball Recap: St. Martin Comes Up Short

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last three times St. Martin and Harrison Central have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Rebels. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Yellow Jackets of the 7-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2025.

Jace Jones was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Will Roebuck, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

St. Martin's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Harrison Central, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-15.

While St. Martin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
