Volleyball Recap: Southeastern Takes a Loss

After flying high against Westfall last Thursday, Southeastern came back down to earth. The Panthers came up short against the Zane Trace Pioneers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Pioneers: they've now lost four in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-20, 25-15.

Kylee Dunn paced Southeastern's offense, picking up 15 kills. Dunn got some help from Lilly Steele and her 17 assists. Dunn was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Zane Trace was led to victory by Reise Grant and Karlee Snavely. Grant had nine digs and four assists, while Snavely hit 64% for 17 kills and 11 digs, five aces, and one block. Snavely has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 38 times she's played.

Southeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Zane Trace, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Southeastern is set to take on their familiar foe Adena at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Zane Trace will square off against rival Huntington at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
