Volleyball Recap: Southeastern Panthers vs. Zane Trace Pioneers
After flying high against Westfall last Thursday, Southeastern came back down to earth. The Panthers came up short against the Zane Trace Pioneers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Pioneers: they've now lost four in a row.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-20, 25-15.
Kylee Dunn paced Southeastern's offense, picking up 15 kills. Dunn got some help from Lilly Steele and her 17 assists. Dunn was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
Zane Trace was led to victory by Reise Grant and Karlee Snavely. Grant had nine digs and four assists, while Snavely hit 64% for 17 kills and 11 digs, five aces, and one block. Snavely has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 38 times she's played.
Southeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Zane Trace, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-5.
