Recap: Curry Yellowjackets vs. Oakman Wildcats
This season hasn't been kind to the Curry Yellowjackets, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. They were outmatched by Oakman at home and fell 64-34. Curry has not had much luck with Oakman recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Oakman's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rick Johnson, who scored 20 points along with 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Johnson has scored at least 25% of Oakman's points. Another player making a difference was Trenton Warren, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Curry's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Oakman, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Curry won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. As for Oakman, they will head out on the road to face off against Fayette County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
