Recap: Auburn Adventist Falcons vs. Varsity Opponent

The Auburn Adventist Falcons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 84-43 victory over Varsity Opponent at home. Auburn Adventist has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Auburn Adventist's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but John-Andrew Dubreuil led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Dubreuil scored 15 or more points. Zachary Ellis was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds.

Auburn Adventist pushed their record up to 10-2 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.0 points per game. As for Varsity Opponent, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 20 of their last 21 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 266-1018-2 record this season.

Auburn Adventist will look to defend their home court on Monday against Northwest Yeshiva at 5:30 p.m. Varsity Opponent won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Cumberland Christian Home Educators on January 18th.
