West High School outfielder goes over the fence and holds on.

A freshman produced what may be the high school sports play of the year nationally Thursday in Utah's Class 5A state championship softball game.

Outfielder Keisha White of West (Salt Lake City) went over the fence to take away this would-be home run in the fifth inning.

That's going to be tough to top.

Riverton went on to beat West 13-11 in the championship contest but the Panthers have plenty to look forward to with White on the roster.

White is hitting .581 this season (second on the team) to go along with 51 runs, 32 RBIs, 11 doubles and five home runs.
