Football Recap: Cloverdale Falls Short of Sheridan in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cloverdale can now relate to. They fell 14-7 to the Sheridan Blackhawks on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 61 points in the game before, the Clovers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Landon Duncan threw for 68 yards on 11 of 21 attempts. On the ground, Keshaun Taylor rushed for 64 yards.

The critical scores for Sheridan came from Jonathan Barnes and Alex Cravens.

Cloverdale's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Sheridan, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

Cloverdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sheridan, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 26-6 defeat against South Putnam on the 14th.
