Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Davenport walked away with it. They strolled past the Bay City Blackcats with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 34-19. The Wolves' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Davenport's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Barrett Fallon led the charge by rushing for 100 yards and three TDs. Fallon has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Another signal caller making a difference was Tristan Torrez, who threw for 202 yards while completing 73.1% of his passes.

Davenport didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Josh Johnson. Davenport got some further help from Peyton Yankie: he picked up two sacks, forced one fumble, and made 15 total tackles.

Bay City's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keimarion Wiggins, who threw for 196 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 85 yards. A healthy portion of Wiggins' aerial production (84 yards to be exact) went to Jordan Johnson.

Davenport's victory bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Bay City, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.

Looking ahead, Davenport will challenge La Vernia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Fallon and TY CARTER. Bay City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
