Volleyball Recap: Colony Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Colony can now relate to. They fell just short of the Dimond Lynx by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lynx earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as oneset needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The final score came out to 30-20.

Colony moved to 36-19-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for Dimond, they pushed their record up to 37-14-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Dimond didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Chugiak on the 15th. Hopefully Colony paid attention to the Lynx's match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Lynx at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
