Volleyball Game Preview: Pine View Panthers vs. Hurricane Tigers

After both having extra time off, the Pine View Panthers and the Hurricane Tigers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Pine View came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Desert Hills. Considering the last time the Panthers couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

While Pine View was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-23, 25-21.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hurricane, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Snow Canyon on Tuesday.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The final score came out to 25-22, 26-24, 29-27.

Pine View better focus on containing Eliza Watts and Haven Williams as the pair were huge in Hurricane's win. Watts had nine digs and one assist, while Williams had nine digs. That's the most digs Williams has posted since back in September.

Pine View has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Hurricane, they now have a winning record of 13-12.
