Basketball Recap: Riverside Find Success

Riverside won the last time they faced KIPP Legacy and things went their way on Saturday too. The Riverside Argonauts secured a 30-26 W over the KIPP Legacy Lions.

When it comes to explaining why KIPP Legacy lost, don't look at Nadiya Abdullah. Despite the final result, she posted ten points. That was a full 38.5% of KIPP Legacy's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiera Jackson, who had five points.

Riverside's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for KIPP Legacy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Riverside will be playing in front of their home fans against Irvington Preparatory Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for KIPP Legacy, they are taking a road trip to square off against MTI School of Knowledge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
