Basketball Recap: Hanson Comes Up Short

Hanson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 55-28 defeat at the hands of the Freeman Flyers. The Beavers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-9.

Freeman was led to victory by Rylee Peters and Cadence Hofer. Peters dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten boards, while Hofer went 7 of 12 en route to 15 points. Peters has been hot, having posted 15 or more points the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Vaida Ammann, who posted seven points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Hanson's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Freeman, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Coming up, Hanson will host Lennox at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Freeman, they will take on Philip at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
