Chatfield won the last time they faced Lewiston-Altura and things went their way on Monday too. The Gophers put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gophers.

One reason for the win was Chatfield's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-18, 25-15.

Cora Bicknese paced Chatfield's offense, picking up 13 kills. Bicknese got some help from Harper Goldsmith and her 22 assists. Grace Patten controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Chatfield's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Lewiston-Altura, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Chatfield has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Dover-Eyota on the 18th. As for Lewiston-Altura, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Cotter on the 18th.
