Sycamore barely beat Fairview the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The War Eagles' defense stepped up to hand the Yellowjackets a 4-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for Sycamore, who have now won five matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Fairview with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Dominik Gutierrez (2), Dylan Atnip, and Ovel Arnold.

Sycamore pushed their record up to 10-0-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Fairview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sycamore will welcome Liberty Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
