Baseball Recap: Union Grove Beats Brookfield East for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Union Grove waltzed into their contest on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Brookfield East Spartans. That's more bragging rights for the Broncos, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jude Rogowski looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Dominic Pascucci was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tucker Katterhagen, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI.

Union Grove's victory bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Brookfield East, their loss dropped their record down to 16-8.

As of now, neither Union Grove nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
