Volleyball Recap: Akron Rams vs. Wray Eagles

Akron had lost four straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 8-11 to make it five. They fell just short of the Wray Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Madison Woods paced Akron's offense, picking up 14 kills. Woods got some help from Kashlee Randel and her 32 assists. Payton Marshall controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

As for Wray, they moved to 7-13 with that win, which also ended their seven-match losing streak. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since September 23rd.

Jaycie Snapp had an outrageously good game as she had 25 digs and six assists. She has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last ten times she's played.

Akron has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Sedgwick County on the 24th. As for Wray, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Yuma on the 24th.
