Volleyball Recap: Akron Takes a Loss

Akron had lost four straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 8-11 to make it five. They fell just short of the Wray Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

As for Wray, the win snapped their losing streak at seven matches and leaves them with a 7-13 record. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since September 23rd.

Jaycie Snapp was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 25 digs and six assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in September.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Akron will square off against rival Sedgwick County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wray is set to challenge their familiar foe Yuma at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
