Basketball Game Preview: Southeast Spartans vs. Elgin Owls

The Southeast Spartans will square off against the Elgin Owls at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Southeast and four for Elgin.

Last Saturday, Southeast ended up a good deal behind MacArthur and lost 15-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Spartans were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Elgin and Carl Albert squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Elgin had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Titans, falling 70-35. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Titans are ranked 41st).

Elgin's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Southeast, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.
