Basketball Recap: Tuscaloosa County Comes Up Short

Tuscaloosa County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 87-16 loss at the hands of the Hillcrest Patriots. The Wildcats lost against the Patriots in their previous head to head back in February of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 63-31 score last time.

Tuscaloosa County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Hillcrest, the win keeps them at an undefeated 26-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tuscaloosa County will square off against Thompson at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hillcrest, they will head out on the road to face off against Prattville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Prattville has won six straight at home, while Hillcrest won 12 straight on the road dating back to last season), something that'll have to change.
