Not much got past Rylan Crisafulli, who gave up just a hit and racked up 16 Ks to keep Southern off the board. Crisafulli has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Corinn Bennett, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Alex Burroughs also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Broadneck's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Southern, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-1.
