Basketball Game Recap: Somonauk/Leland vs. Rockford Christian

The Rockford Christian Royal Lions' three-game streak of losses has finally come to an end. They made easy work of Somonauk/Leland on Monday and carried off a 52-23 win. The success represented a nice turnaround for Rockford, who in their last game suffered a tough 69-44 defeat.

The Royal Lions' victory brought them up to 12-13. Somonauk/Leland is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-16.

The Royal Lions will stay at home against Belvidere today. Rockford has the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency. Somonauk/Leland is on the road again today and plays against Mooseheart. Mooseheart also suffered a recent loss, falling 41-34 to Hiawatha.
